Sombrerito Ranch features a spacious lodge to relax in-between your hunts. We can accommodate large groups of hunters, as well as non-hunting guests. All sleeping quarters are made for you to feel at home while on the ranch. We take great pride in the comfort and relaxation of our guests while hunting the beautiful brush country with us.
Dining
Sombrerito Ranch ensures our guests are well fed throughout their stay at our ranch! We have a cook available at all times to ensure you are waking to home brewed coffee and breakfast cooking each morning. You can be sure that you will be hearing happy groans and accolades around the dinner table each night as you fill up from our cook’s meals. Please let us know of any food allergies prior to arrival.
The Ranch
Located in the beautiful Brush Country of South Texas, Sombrerito Ranch boasts 11,000 acres of the most breathtaking views one can imagine. The lush creek bottoms and scenic views create an oasis for wildlife and people alike. The initial 1978 purchase included 4,000 acres of what was once a 12,000 acre Spanish land grant. Bill and Ellen Carter purchased the final 7,500 acre portion of the ranch in 1984 to put the Old Spanish Land Grant back together in it’s entirety. Over the years through wildlife management, Sombrerito Ranch has produced some of the finest hunting of mature bucks in all of Texas.
