A.  Generally, any caliber larger than a .243 is adequate. 7mm/08, 270, 280, 308, 30/06 and all the magnums with medium heavy bullets work fine.

Q.  At what range should I sight in my rifle...?

A.  The average shot is about 125 yards.  Your rifle should be sighted-in 1 inch high at 100 yards.  We have a 100-yard rifle range on the ranch and we will ask you to check your sight-in prior to going out in the field.  We have good scoped loaner rifles in case something breaks or comes loose in travel.

A.  Clothing for the Texas seasonal weather is fine.  It's best to dress in layers so you can peel off layers as the weather warms up around mid-day.  Temperatures often vary 40 to 50 degrees from early morning till mid-afternoon.

Full camo is not required, but camo or dark colored shirts, jacket, and cap is a must.  Please bring a comfortable camo face mask and gloves for your hunt.
